Looking to reinforce your Birdies Raised Bed or connect multiple beds into one seamless garden? Our Birdies Bracing Kit is designed to fit all standard Birdies configurations, ensuring long-term structural support and preventing bowing.
Each kit includes two AluZinc steel channels and four galvanized wire braces that secure easily with bolts. Whether you're installing a 6-foot centerpiece or a 12-foot raised garden bed, these kits are engineered for strength and simplicity.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing waste, we now manufacture our bracing kits using surplus steel from our manufacturing line. This means your kit may arrive in a variety of colors—including blue, red, or other hues. These aesthetic differences are purely cosmetic and invisible once the bracing is installed underground. The coating is identical to the non-toxic, food-safe paint used on our Birdies beds and meets all garden safety standards.

- Birdies Short Bracing Kit - 2 short channels and 4 wire bracings
- Birdies Tall Bracing Kit - 2 tall channels and 4 wire bracings
- Small beds with lengths under 4 feet do not need bracing but the medium and large beds spanning over 4 feet can benefit from bracing.
- For beds between 5-6 feet 1 bracing kit is needed, 8-10 ft requires 2, and 12 ft require 3 bracing kits.

We made sure to use the bracing kits for our tall birdies and it may not be necessary but makes us feel better to have them. We have not had a bed buckle, so calling that success.

I ended up making two 2x6 foot tall raised bed planters by combining parts from a medium and a small. This worked great but the small version did not include the bracing kit. The info on the Website says that a 5' long bed (the full length of the small bed) requires the bracing kit. It should be included with the product to avoid the unexpected cost and delay.

Birdies has determined that none of the 6 configurations available with the small bed needs a bracing kit, which is why the kit doesn't come with one. The medium has one bracing kit that comes with the kit, as that's what was determined was needed for the 6 configurations available with that kit. Combining beds, as you're doing here, typically requires bracing as only one kit may not have enough for two beds. Two medium beds would have had a bracing kit for each bed. Customer Service got me to what I needed, and quickly. I added a support in the middle of my 2x10 Birdies tall container and feel much more comfortable about the long-term standing of my garden box.
