FAQ
FAQ
Q: Does the Epic GardenBox Greenhouse have a bottom?
A: No. It’s designed to fit perfectly atop the Epic GardenBox raised bed.
Q: What are the benefits of using the Epic GardenBox Greenhouse?
A: This cold frame lets you plant sooner in the spring, shields your plants from pests and bad weather in spring & summer, helps the soil reach certain temps & humidity levels (dependent on where you live), extends your growing season when the weather cools, and allows you to protect the roots of temperature-sensitive, dormant plants in your above-ground beds.
Q: What do I need to remember while using the Epic GardenBox Greenhouse?
A: You’ll have to open up the greenhouse when your plants flower to let pollinators in. On warm days, make sure to open the lid to allow excess heat out and fresh air and pollinators in. As the day winds down, close the lid again to give the heat a chance to build up inside, protecting your plants from getting chilly at night.
Q: What can I grow in my GardenBox Greenhouse?
A: Anything that can fit. There are so many plants that can benefit from being grown under this cold frame. Try growing your favorite winter crops here.
Q: How long will the GardenBox Greenhouse last?
A: With a little care, it’ll be with you for years. Just apply a sealant to the wood to extend its lifespan, like pure tung oil—a natural, food-safe waterproofer. You can also paint on a weather-resistant color of your choice before it gets exposed to the elements.
