Product Details

True-blue flowers are rare and these aquamarine gems will sparkle in the garden. Flower buds and older flowers are lavender, adding extra flair. Blue milkweed, also known as star of Argentine and southern star, draws in pollinators to its sweetly scented flowers, but unlike other milkweeds, it is not considered critical for monarch caterpillars. This cutting flower adds the perfect "something blue" to floral arrangements. Perennial in USDA zones 10–11; otherwise grown as an annual. In areas where perennial plants are vining shrubs, they may reach 10' over time. Sap is toxic; avoid eye/skin contact and do not ingest. Deer resistant.

I had such a low germination rate on the seats. It was pretty disappointing, considering I’ve grown them in the past, and had no other problems with other types of milkweed. The price for only 15 seeds and only two seeds that germinated left me pretty disappointed. Love the company and the packaging, but this was, a drag .

Love this plant!! The blue flowers look like velvet. Grew these many years ago but could not find the seeds. Found them on your site and ordered them immediately.

I bought a pack of seeds these are more than others and they are not coming up, I have 1 out of all of them that's trying to grow!!! I bought about 10 packs of seeds most are not doing anything! The ironic thing is the moon flowers and trumpet vines are growing and quickly! Supposedly these were the hard ones to grow, so not sure but at $45 for seeds for what I bought I won't do it again! I will go to Walmart Home Depot etc! I bought these seeds thinking for surely this will work and be beautiful! The tweedia seeds 4 59 a pack so I'm disappointed

I only planted 4 seeds (after soaking seeds in water for 5 days to kick start germination ) and I got a lovely full hanging basket full of blue flowers. Small butterflies and bumblebees love it.
