Product Details

Known as the Queen of Herbs in India, tulsi is considered to be sacred. This type of holy basil is also known as kapoor, or temperate basil. It is distinguished by its bubble-gum scent, frost-tolerance, and fast-growing nature. Its health-promoting properties are said to help combat stress and other medical concerns. If allowed to flower, it is a bee magnet and it may reseed. Grow indoors for a continuous supply of fresh leaves throughout the winter.

The majority of the seeds I purchased from BI have 100% germination, and most in half the posted germination time! I love their seeds!

You only need one package of seeds and you'll have a lifetime supply of tulsi. It self sows like crazy and the following growing season you will find tons of tulsi growing all throughout your yard. I bought a pack of these seeds about 5 yrs ago. According to my herb books this is indeed Temperate/Kapoor which is absolutely a Tulsi. With culinary Basil's you want to harvest before it flowers. With Tulsi you want to harvest both leaves and flowers.

Pretty much every seed germinated! I love this Tulsi Basil. It makes the most delicious tea - drink it hot or cold . This is a must in my garden every year.
