If planting in a row as a screen, plant one every 5-6 feet to form a dense hedge. Individual trees will grow 30-50 feet tall without pruning to keep them compact. For each tree, dig a hole three times the width of the root ball and just as deep. Plant the tree and backfill with the same soil, pressing it down to remove air pockets as you go. Water it in well and add a good layer of mulch, keeping a gap between the mulch layer and the tree's trunk.

Fertilizing: Feed in spring with a balanced fertilizer made specifically for evergreen trees and shrubs.
Pruning: Thuja Green Giant can be pruned to keep them compact and at a specific height if used for a neat border plant. The plants will be dense and green all year, and pruning should be done annually after the last frost to keep their form. Make symmetrical cuts at a 45° angle. If not grouped as a border, the trees do not need pruning at all.
