Product Details

A favorite to use as baby greens, 'Red Sails' is ready to harvest after just 2 or 3 weeks and grows to a full head in just over 6 weeks. Very heat tolerant, the soft buttery leaves will grow well into warm weather without getting bitter. Contains more vitamins A and C than grocery-store lettuce! Attractive container variety, too. An All-America selections winner.

    The best lettuce ever!

This variety of lettuce has to be my absolute favorite! I planted this lettuce back in early spring and it’s still going strong in late June. I’ve never had a variety hold up this well in heat( I’m in growing zone 6b-7a) and not turn bitter or bolt. I also love the color and shape of the Red Sail’s lettuce heads. This will be my go to lettuce from now on.

Red Sails is a vigorous and very easy to grow lettuce. I place them here and there around the greenhouse in any vacant spot I have available.

    Highly recommend.
