Patio Pride is your newest season starter or season-ender, with only 40 days to harvest! This 2017 All-American Selections award winner produces sweet, uniform 2" to 3" pods that are very tender when harvested early. It's perfect for container growing and a snap pea variety you'll love to grow every year.

RECOMMENDED. 4 to 6 weeks before your average last frost date, when soil temperature is at least 40°F, ideally 60°F-80°F, and again 10 to 12 weeks before your average first frost date. In mild climates, sow in fall or winter for winter harvest. Best grown in temperatures less than 85°F. Special germination instructions: Soak seed in water for 12 hours before sowing. This is not required, but hastens germination.

These peas grew and produced well in my grow bags this spring. I started them indoors in compostable containers and then moved them outside a few weeks before my last frost date (MA/6b). Very tasty too, I will definitely grow this variety again!

These peas take off like a shot the moment they have something to vine around, so trellis early! I also cannot for the life of me figure out why the flowers aren’t featured on the packaging - they are a gorgeous two-toned pinky-purple that everyone comments on! I’m in zone 10a.

I just bought the seeds, not sure if I could plant them in September or not.
