Product Details

Basil lovers, this is for you—an extremely productive sweet basil boasting leaves nearly as big as your hand! The light green leaves are more sweet than spicy and full of flavor and aroma; ideal as lettuce alternative in wraps, on burgers or sandwiches, or in a beautiful caprese salad. Crinkled leaves hold dressings or marinades better than smooth types in your culinary creations. Very slow to bolt.

This basil is so good! Highly recommend making a wrap out of it filled with turkey, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and balsamic glaze - YUM!

This was my first year trying lettuce leaf basil and I am in love! They have great classic sweet basil flavor with a tad less pungency, but they also have large crinkled leaves like a piece of lettuce so you get more volume of basil compared to a standard sweet italian basil. I want to grow more of this variety every year, but will definitely keep growing multiple varieties too (thai basil, purple basil, sweet italian basil).
