For Single-Hole Covers:
Water and amend your soil. Lay the grow bag cover on top of the soil, and make a mark at the center of each hole. Remove the cover, and plant. Use the slit in the cover to position the cover around the plant. 

For Multi-Hole Covers:

Water and amend your soil. Lay the grow bag cover on top of the soil. Plant seeds or plants directly through the holes. Note: All plants must be no larger than those grown in a 6-cell tray size or smaller. Large transplants will not fit through the holes.

For Both Covers:

Check your soil periodically to see if more water is needed. Water underneath the cover with a drip irrigation line, or over the cover with a hose or watering can.

Q: How many holes does each cover have?

A:

• The single-hole covers have one center hole.

• The multi-hole 5-gallon cover has 10 holes, the 15-gallon cover has 24 holes, and the 60-gallon cover has 88 holes. All holes are equally spaced throughout the cover.

Q: How far apart are the holes?

A: The holes are 3.5 inches apart center-to-center.

Q: How do I water with the covers on?

A: You can install drip tubing under the cover or water from the top by hand.

Q: How do I plant with the covers?

A:

• Single-hole covers: Water and amend your soil. Lay the grow bag cover on top of the soil. Make a mark at the center of the hole. Remove the cover. Plant. Use the slit in the cover to place the cover around the plant.

• Multi-hole covers: Water and amend your soil. Lay the grow bag cover on top of the soil. Plant seeds or plants directly through the holes. Note: All plants must be grown in a 6-cell tray or smaller. Large transplants will not fit through the holes.

Q: What do I do at the end of the season?

A: After the season, remove plants and compost, wash the cover with water, dry completely, and store in a cool dry place, preferably indoors.

Q: How high should the soil be for using the cover?

A: Fill your grow bags so there is approximately a one-inch gap at the top.
