Love these blooms! All the colors are beautiful, but the purple/pink is my favorite! The white is gorgeous too and so is the light pink, but the blooms were pretty small for the light pink. All my seeds germinated and made beautiful bouquets this summer. People I shared the bouquets with didn’t believe they were cosmos!

Not quite as petaled as the artwork illustrates, but very happy with the seeds. I direct sowed and they all came up.

I had planned my flower bed based on size dimensions and growth habits listed on all my seed packets. However, these cosmos are monstrous, reaching every bit of 5 feet tall and smothering the other plants in front of them (this would not be a bad aspect if I had known what to plan for). Some branches were so huge and weak that they have split/broken off from the main "trunk" (not weather-related). Another extremely disappointing factor is that so many of the slender stems with blooms at the end are also so weak that they have bent/crimped from the weight of the flowers, thus killing the bloom and the adjoining buds. Their growing conditions are in full sun, consistent water, and the only fertilizer I have used was Bio-tone at the time of planting. I am upset over all the above cons; HOWEVER, the flowers themselves are truly stunning and the plants are very floriferous.

Hey Ashley, Thank you so much for the feedback. One thing about our Double Click Blend cosmos that you might have missed: in the instructions inside the seed packet, we recommend not fertilizing, as the cosmos simply doesn't need it. When fertilized with a nitrogen-rich fertilizer (which Bio-tone is), most cosmos develop tall, lanky growth comparable to what you're experiencing. In many cases, they experienced reduced flowering along with that tall growth, so we're thrilled to hear that's not the case and that you're seeing lots of beautiful blooms! But we would encourage you to skip the fertilizer before planting next time; Bio-Tone is a slow-release fertilizer that feeds over about a four-month period, and your cosmos doesn't need it. I hope that helps. Keep on growing 🌻️
