Product Details

With dazzling, sky-blue flowers, 'Blue Boy' is wonderful in mass, and because it is drought tolerant, it's practically care free. Flowers can be used dried or fresh cut, while the edible petals make a colorful garnish to salads, crudités platters, or dinner plates. Also known as cornflower, bachelor's button will "naturalize", or self-sow, for another crop of blue flowers next year.

Here are some intermixed with cosmos. I have such wonderful experience with Botanical Interest seeds! I am getting 100% germination from seeds I just started for 2024 from last year’s seed packet. They bloomed all summer last year and readily re-seed. Vibrant color that just pops! I love Bachelor Buttons! Zone 8b, Washington state.

Can't go wrong with bachelor buttons. Easy to geminate, fast growing, extremely low maintenance, low water requirements...Blooms are prolific and constant. Seeds are easy to collect and re-sow for more blooms. The beautiful rare blue color brings in the bees like a ringing dinner bell. I always save some room in my gardens for this classic flower.
