Care and Maintenance

Watering: For the first year, water deeply once a week, more in hot, dry weather. After the first year, reduce to every 10-14 days.

Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring, following package instructions. Avoid over-fertilizing to prevent excessive leafy growth at the expense of fruit.

Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring to shape the tree and remove dead or crowded branches. Keep all varieties balanced in growth.

Planting Care

Soil: Loosen the soil in a hole about twice the width of the root ball and the same depth. Amend with compost if needed.

Location: Choose a sunny spot that gets at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day. The soil should be well-draining.

Watering: Water deeply right after planting, ensuring the soil is moist but not waterlogged.

Pollination: Peaches are self-pollinating, so you don't need another tree, but bees help improve fruit set.
