Educational & Community Program

Our mission is to teach the world to grow; we know you are doing that, too!

Imagine a world where we can learn more about botany, agriculture, ecosystems, and how they interact. Envision a world in which we can bring that knowledge to people, young and old, where they can physically put it into action. The delight in planting that first seed and nurturing what comes from it is incredible– but it all starts with that first step of planting the seed.

Our mission statement is synonymous with our commitment to supporting educational programs and offering partnership opportunities within our schools and communities. We all have a hand in explaining basic horticulture or ecology to those we work with, and we want to do so in a sustainable, enriching way that has measurable impacts on your organization.

To reinforce and guide our fulfillment of this purpose, we’ve designed a policy that clearly communicates our dedication to doing the right thing and how we can assist you in your educational or community development goals.

Our Policies:

As you might imagine, Epic Gardening and Botanical Interests both receive many requests for assistance. The following provides a roadmap on how requests are considered and how we can help you in your mission.

We offer a 15% discount to support qualifying organizations to help defer the costs of managing their gardens. This discount can be used year-round to purchase gardening products or seeds for your organization’s needs.

Donation policy:

  • Sometimes, we may have unsold seeds or assorted returned/new garden products available for donation to qualifying organizations. However, these are limited in availability.
  • We fulfill as many requests as possible between June 1st and August 1st of each year.
  • You can apply via our form at any time of the year. Applications received from August 2nd onward will be held until the following year.
  • Due to the number of requests we receive, you will only be notified if your request is approved. If you do not hear from us by August 1st, feel free to reapply for the next year’s donation list starting on August 2nd.
  • If you publish anything to highlight our donation, we must approve a copy of all media and artwork before publication.
  • Charitable donations and sponsorship requests must be submitted with a donation letter stating the product's MSRP.
  • We donate only to registered 501(c) organizations, and you must submit a copy of your registration document.
  • If shipping is necessary, there may be charges to cover those costs.
  • We would like at least one follow-up social media post tagging us and showing the product in use at your location. (Don’t worry; you can blur out faces if desired!)
  • If you are willing, Epic Gardening would love the ability to film at your location for a potential video to show how we assisted your program.

We can provide support for:

  • Educational, environmental, humane, and scientific organizations
  • Health and human service providers, including children's organizations
  • Cultural and artistic institutions
