Finally, an indoor grow light that is pleasing to the eye. Taking up just two square feet, our grow light is perfect for countertops without being an eyesore.
Our standard grow light kit includes a watertight, built-in bottom tray that makes water easy and mess-free. The built-in bottom tray can hold up to twelve 6-cell trays or eight 4-cell trays.
The light grows with your seedlings as the height is easily adjustable from 6.8 inches to 19 inches.
The LEDs were designed for vegetative plant growth while still being energy efficient. An integrated timer allows you to control how much light your plants get. The timer allows for 8, 12, and 16 hour light cycles.
The Seed Starting Grow Light is compatible with our Seed Starting Heat Mat. The integrated tray fits up to 12 Epic 6-Cells, 8 Epic 16-Cells, 8 Epic 4-Cells, or 8 Epic 5-inch starter pots. Combinations of each are possible.

How to use
How to use
If you are using a 1020 UBT, do not place the seed heating mat inside. It should be placed under the tray.
Do not immerse the LED panel in water.
Simply place your seed starting trays, cells, or houseplants within a bottom tray. Water them as needed depending on ambient conditions.
For newly started seedlings: Set the light to the lowest setting above your sprouts after they emerge. Then adjust the height to the tallest setting as your seedlings grow taller.
For small houseplants: Set to whichever setting keeps the light at least 6 inches above your plant’s leaves. Offset the light for those plants that require bright, indirect lighting.
How to Clean Your Epic Seed Starting Grow Light:
DO NOT immerse the grow light or integrated bottom tray in water. Instead, spot clean the surface and side brackets with a damp cloth as needed. Separate UBTs can be cleaned with dish soap in between uses.

Simple Step-By-Step Guide To Starting Seeds At Home
Use a fine-particulate seed starting soil and pre-moisten it before filling the cell trays. Avoid chunky or woody potting blends that may create air pockets next to your planted seeds.
Be sure to follow the sowing depth instructions on your seed packet! Some seeds like to be sown deeply, while others prefer being on or barely under the soil.
A germination dome helps retain moisture in the soil. You’ll still need to water, but less often. Check regularly to ensure the soil stays evenly damp during germination and plant development.
If your seeds prefer warm soil temperatures, use our seedling heat mat to warm the soil. Our grow lights provide ideal lighting for newly germinated plants until it’s time to transplant.
Remove the germination dome when your seedlings are about an inch tall to allow for more airflow.

We recommend hand-washing with hot, soapy water as the best way to keep the material in good shape for years of use. A good dish detergent should sterilize the trays enough to protect seedlings.
As long as your mix is formulated properly, it won’t fall out. Each individual cell in our Epic Trays features an air pruning side slot on all four corners to discourage root circling and encourage better root growth. The bottoms of each cell are also open providing air pruning at the lower end of each cell

I brought two Standard Grow Lights during the Black Friday Sale. I finally opened one and use it to grow lettuce. However as soon as I removed to the lighting part of the foam one of its plastic ends flopped out of position. Upon closer inspection the plastic around the two screws holding it in place was broken. If it is jostled by even a little bit the plastic pops off. I am really disappointed that I would get a broken assembly upon opening. I should not have to go to the hardware store for a DIY fix for a new appliance.
Outside of that, it seems to work okay. I appreciate the timer setting. I am curious to see if I could grow long day onions with it.

I really like this seed starting set up. It’s perfect for me because I have a small garden and I can get everything I want started for spring and fall when the time is right. I also like the fact that I can bottom water with no problem and adjust lighting as my plants grow. All in all I’m a fan.
