In reality, this experienced horticulturist spent years culling the seeds from the rich purple poppies growing in her garden, knowing gardeners would appreciate the superb beauty of this stunning variety.

It was the last of poppies I sowed but it grew fast once transplanted into larger pots. A bit darker than I expected but stunning among red valerian and Apricotta cosmos!

The package resulted in 2 plants and one was very spindly, the other was fuller. The flowers are a beautiful shade but individual flowers lasted 1-2 days at best and stems weren't long enough to cut. The bluish foliage was not particularly atteactive. Loved the flowers. Saved some seed will give another ho next year.
Maybe my climate is just too hot.

Lauren's Grape easily germinated and I daringly transplanted them by fours into 5 inch coir pots. I got them into barrels and a flower bed early spring and they were the most stunningly beautiful poppies I've seen. Now I'm letting the pods dry for seeds.
