Product Details

Bachelor's button, also known as "cornflower", is drought tolerant and needs little pampering. Flowers are great for cutting or drying and the edible petals are beautiful sprinkled on a salad. Bachelor's button will "naturalize"; it self-sows for another crop of flowers the following season, and birds love the seed heads! Attracts pollinators and beneficial insects.

    Drought resistant indeed!

These very pretty bachelor button flowers are super hardy. I share the garden bed photo not to boast of how I pretty much killed an entire bed of flowers because the water line was clogged and I was lazy, not wanting to fix it. I share it so you can see how drought resistant these flowers are! This bed was on the other side of the yard so I watered it every couple of weeks (not much rain here in Denver). The beautiful blooms just kept coming back, even when it looked totally dead. Mostly blue blooms, one white and one pink but I will definitely plant these next year..

These are just glorious! They're really tall and don't seem to care where they grow, what they grow in, or how hot or cold things get in Colorado. They're so pretty, I have a sea of color in my yard.

I'm not new in gardening, but this is my first time to bought seeds from BI and I have success in planting their free mesclun lettuce and even harvested most of them. The kilimanjaro marigold I bought is now growing indoor and I'm so excited! I will be planting the rest of the seeds this coming spring and I will surely order more from them. I recommended them from my friends and family and they love it as well. You can actually see them growing on my fb/ IG venusvicknair thanks
