I love these variegated nasturtiums. Even when not flowering they are beautiful because of the leaves. I find they benefit from some shade and consistent moisture here in Kansas.

My nasturtiums grew in just like the picture on the packet! If I had to re-do it I would probably use a larger pot or home depot bucket instead of a rectangular window box.
By the end of the summer some of the leaves were getting brown. Trimming helped stimulate new leaf growth.

J Though I was hoping for leaves with cool patterns, this regular-leaf nasturtium still deserves some applause. I planted it indoors during the winter, where the temperature sometimes dropped a bit by the window. The lighting wasn’t ideal either—just afternoon sun. But after moving it to a south-facing window, it immediately started blooming happily in an 8-inch pot.

One of my first times growing anything from seed, but these did really well! The place I planted them gets shade part of the day but they're still flowering. Some of the seed did not produce the variegated coloring, but it was worth it because the flower color was different.

This season, I ordered all my seeds from BI.
I followed Kevin from Epic Garden and was convinced by him to order my seeds from BI.
Unfortunately, the germination rates on most of those ordered seeds were low to zero.
A few of them performed very well, like these fabulous Alaska Variegated Nasturtium Seed, which I will definitely order again.
However, most of the rest of the ordered seeds showed tragically zero germination, like all of my ordered determined tomato seeds.
