Product Details

This showy climber will dazzle all who are lucky enough to behold it! Morning glory is so named because the flowers open in the cool of morning, then close when it gets too hot. On cloudy days and in the fall, the blossoms stay open all day. Caution: Parts of this plant are toxic if ingested.

Just planted these on Sunday. It’s Friday and they’re already growing rapidly. In five days they must’ve sprouted 3 inches! I’ve never seen a seed sprout so quickly. I’ll update this post with more pictures as they continue to grow.

    Invasive in Washington

Beware, these are invasive in Washington State, I had to rip out my entire garden and start over because of one packet of Morning Glory seeds.

    Hey Michelle,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts in a review. Ipomoea tricolor, the species of our Heavenly Blue Morning Glory seeds, is not listed on the Noxious Weed Lists for the Washington State Noxious Weed Control Board. It is also not listed as an invasive species by the Washington Invasive Species Council.

However, many plants will happily self-sow their seeds if in an optimal environment. So congratulations for having a garden which morning glories found perfect to take over!

It's been our experience that in the colder parts of eastern Washington, morning glory acts as an annual plant. However, in warmer western Washington state, it readily self-sows itself in the milder and longer growing seasons. To prevent self-sowing, we encourage you to deadhead your flowers once they start to fade; this prevents the seeds from being spread at all.

Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are committed to ensuring your experience is positive. Thank you once again for your input. Keep on growing 🌻️
