This was my first time growing luffa sponge and I had such a beautiful success with it. Four plants grew an amazing harvest. I’ve told all of my friends how fun & easy it was to grow, and I’ve shared my harvested luffa seeds and sponges as well. One luffa gives you hundreds of seeds and the sponge has been amazing to use in the shower. This is my new favorite plant!

These were supposed to be luffas. Definitely NOT luffa. There’s been a mix up in the seed factory for sure. Some kind of squash but not sure what.

I got these at a seed swap of some sort, forgot about them for a year, and still even with two year old seeds which were not cared for in the least, had a 100% germination rate. Now I've got four huge luffa plants hanging around. I have one final a 15 gallon, one in about a 1L, and one in a 5 gallon, and one in the ground, and none of them are suffering too bad, but obviously the bigger containers are doing better.

Only started 3 seeds for a test. So far, only one seed germinated. It may be only these 2 seeds that are duds. I have the rest of the packet to sew. Happy with the one that made it. Strong and healthy.

I planted 2 seeds in just standard bagged soil and had the longest luffa vines I ever grew. Lasted till October and got about 9 large luffas to use as sponges and a few more that I ate.
