Care and Maintenance

Watering: Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out before watering again. Overwatering causes root rot—be cautious, especially in containers.

Fertilizing: Use balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during growing season (spring–summer). Slow-release fertilizer is a good option. Stop feeding in winter.

Pruning: Prune regularly to control size and increase airflow. With sun, support, and care, dragon fruit thrives!

Pollination: Hand-pollinate with a soft brush or cotton swab at night or early morning if needed.

Harvesting: Fruits are ready 30–50 days after flowering. Pick when skin is bright pink and slightly soft to touch.

Planting Care

Sunlight: Needs at least 6-8 hours of sunlight every day.

Soil: Use well-draining sandy or loamy soil. pH between 6–7 preferred.

Location: Full sun (at least 6–8 hours/day). Needs a sturdy support structure like a trellis or post

Watering: Water deeply after planting until soil is moist but not soggy.

Pollination: Flowers open at night. Some varieties are self-pollinating, others need cross-pollination.

    It is growing well

I can't complain about my plant; it's growing and spreading like crazy but no fruit yet. I'm about to repot it into its final 20-gal pot then bring t in for the winter. I live in central NC so it can stay outside a couple more months in its sunny spot.

I've given away many clipping to happy friends too!
