Slow to grow in my clay soil. The first year plants were small and struggling with no blooms. This year, I'm delighted to see plants a foot high with 'dazzling' blooms. Well worth the wait.

I grew these last year (I used the winter sowing method with the milk jugs) and had both purple and pink bloom that summer. This year one of the purples is huge! It's so beautiful.

Penstemon dazzler germinates well from seeds if chilled first before planting. Lots game up and I got a variety of colors, pink and purples. Most are over wintering well here in N.C.

I added more seeds this year and am awaiting germination. Easy plant for your pollinator and humming bird garden.

The picture on this seed packet drew me in immediately! Any flower that will attract hummingbirds is high on my list to grow. Am really looking forward to the first blooms.
