What could be more soothing than curling up at bedtime with a good book and a cup of chamomile tea made from flowers fresh from your garden? The flowers can also be dried for floral arrangements, pressed for crafts, or woven into charming wreaths, and their edible petals can be tossed into salads. In the garden, chamomile attracts beneficial insects and pollinators.

More chamomile than I can handle

This was my first year growing chamomile so I had no idea what to expect. I winter sowed the seeds in milk jugs back in February and now my garden is exploding with chamomile! I can't even keep up with harvesting. Smells beautiful and the tea is delicious.

I direct sowed these seeds in a garden bed in very early spring and now have plenty of chamomile. Extremely high germination rate!

    Would you believe?!

Year 3, 6B container amateur here again! Yet another season growing from THIS same packet that says sell by ‘23! I only need enough for a cup or two of tea for myself every year and this time you can see I mixed in some alyssum too. I suspect I’m becoming a chaos container mad scientist gardner?! Who cares as long as the bees are happy and I have a win or two?! Am I right?

I sprinkled a few seeds in some pots and put them in my greenhouse. They seem to be doing well 🌱💛

    Seeds work well

Worked well for me the last few years I’ve been repurchasing. Just throw them wherever you want them.
