Coolest thing in my garden this summer

Super easy to grow, sowed directly in ground, all germinated. The tallest one is easily over 8 feet. Will leave up over the winter for the birds to eat the seeds.

    Hey JA,

What a fantastic review! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that your Earthwalker Sunflowers have become the coolest thing in your garden this summer - what an amazing compliment!

Your growing experience sounds like it went absolutely perfectly - direct sowing with 100% germination is such a satisfying success, and wow, over 8 feet tall! That's incredible height and really shows how happy these Earthwalkers are in your garden setup. There's something so exciting about watching sunflowers reach for the sky like that, especially when they just keep growing taller than you expected.

We absolutely love that you're planning to leave them up over the winter for the birds! That's such a thoughtful approach and really extends the joy these sunflowers bring to your garden. The birds are going to have such a feast with those big seed heads, and there's something so special about watching your garden continue to give back to wildlife even after the growing season winds down. Plus, those tall dried stalks can look quite striking against a winter landscape!

Your experience with the easy germination and vigorous growth really highlights why Earthwalker Sunflowers are such a rewarding choice for gardeners - they deliver that impressive wow factor without being fussy or difficult to grow.

Thank you so much for sharing such an enthusiastic review about both the growing success and your wildlife-friendly approach!

    Keep on growing 🌻️

    Important typo in description

No doubt these will be gorgeous and the seeds germinated quickly. But the description says these will grow "5" to 7.5" tall" so I planted them in a spot where I wanted a smaller flowering plant. I'm back to buy something else and came by to look at reviews . . . I think that description should be 5' to 7.5' (feet, not inches). :)

    Hey Kristin,

Thank you so much for this helpful 4-star review and for bringing that typo to our attention! You're absolutely right - those Earthwalker Sunflowers definitely grow 5 to 7.5 FEET tall, not inches! That's quite a difference and I can totally understand the surprise when you were expecting a smaller flowering plant.

It's great to hear that the seeds germinated quickly for you though, and I'm sure they'll be absolutely stunning once they reach their full towering height. Earthwalker Sunflowers are real showstoppers with those gorgeous blooms, even if they ended up being much bigger than you originally planned for that spot.

Thanks for catching that description error - feedback like this helps us make sure other gardeners get the right information for their planning. We'll have this fixed on our site ASAP. I really appreciate you taking the time to point it out!

    Keep on growing 🌻️
