A little slower to develop, very hardy to extreme heat once established

I've seen these wilt exactly once and it was 105F. They outperform both my Celosia and Zinnia in the heat tolerance dept. Lovely silvery blooms, achieved first bloom in around 10 weeks. Cream standard poodle in the photos for color and scale reference! These are the early blooms.

Strawflower will be one I try overwintering as well here, we will see if they can handle California's wet winters.

    Hey Rachel,

We're so happy to hear about your incredible experience with the King Size Silvery White Strawflower Seeds! It's awesome that they're such heat warriors - only wilting once at 105F is seriously impressive, and outperforming both celosia and zinnia in that department just shows how tough these beauties really are! Those lovely silvery blooms at 10 weeks are absolutely gorgeous, and we love that you included your cream standard poodle for scale reference - what a perfect way to show off just how "king size" these strawflowers get! Your overwintering experiment sounds super exciting too - it'll be so cool to see how they handle California's wet winters! Thanks for sharing your strawflower growing success with us! Keep on growing 🌻️

    None of them germinated

I had high hopes, but none germinated. I’m a seasoned gardener. I followed all instructions exactly for direct sowing in March and April. Soil meets the requirements needed. I reseeded twice. I didn’t over or underwater. I’m in sunny Southern California zone 10b. I’m so disappointed.

    Poor propagation

Only one plant growing from the package of seeds and I’m a seasoned gardener.
