My seeds grew without any problems and the plants are very tough. I started growing these when i first started gardening so i made some questionable container choices (mostly clay & bagged soil in a gallon plastic bottle), but it is still growing well. This plant is tough! Very easy and rewarding to grow for having such beautiful flowers. Just make sure to deadhead.

If I had to plant only one variety of morning glory, Grandpa Ott would unquestionably be it! Large velvety indigo blooms (lighter blue but still very lovely in the first photo, planted in poor rocky soil) that fade to magenta as the day progresses. They glow as if lit from within. The heart-shaped foliage is beautifully formed and textured. AND the buds resemble purple and white swirled unicorn horns!

If I could only choose one variety of morning glory, Grandpa Ott would be it! This starts out a deep velvety indigo blue, and fades throughout the day to magenta/purple. Large blooms that look like they glow from within. The buds are purple and white swirls that resemble unicorn horns! Gorgeous.
