Product Details

With long, sturdy stems, these bright, 4"–6" flowers are great for colorful, long-lasting bouquets. Zinnias are a customer favorite and so easy to grow from seed. Once they begin to bloom, they bloom and bloom endlessly until frost! 'Giant Purple' is heat tolerant and disease resistant. Zinnias are edible, but have little flavor. The colorful flowers can make a pretty garnish to salads, desserts, cold drinks, or serving trays. (The flower's central disk, while edible, can be bitter.)

    Gorgeous big flowers

These are my husband’s favorite. I grow these exact Giant Purple seeds every year. They are the most striking zinnias.

I start them inside and then plant seedlings. I sow many more than I need because I always lose some babies.

Botanical Interests has sold out of these seeds many times, so buy them early.

    Gorgeous Little Works of Art

This is my first year growing any flowers, I’ve been growing veg for a decade. I was worried it would be difficult, but these Zinnias were so easy! I started mine indoors because I’m Zone 4 and have a lot of birds trying to eat seeds I direct sew. Four seedlings turned into quite a few bushing plants with lots of flowers. Each one looks unique and the ultra violet purple color is out of this word. They are constantly covered in bees and butterflies.

The seeds that I have purchased from BI are my favorite seeds. This was my first year, trying flowers, and it felt almost full proof with these seeds. I bought a variety of zinnias and all of them turned out beautiful.
