Honesty plant in full bloom after planting last autumn

Really intriguing plant that I started from seed late last summer and planted out in the fall. The little plant grew all winter (never really died) and emerged this spring as a big robust, leafy plant. Buds started forming a week ago (late April) and now more and more buds are opening. It is easily 3.5 feet tall and 2 ft wide right now. Excited to see how it does this summer. Zone 8b, southwestern WA state.

Update! This bad boy or girl is over 4feet! I am 5’5” and it’s at my eye level! The pods have started forming, following the soft purple with white variegation. And it must be more than 2’ wide. I have it in a part sun location and it’s just glorious. There are multiple babies popping up all around. Fun to watch the transformation!

Planted a few honesty a couple years ago. A few plants bloomed somewhat straggly.. but they were in more shade than they like. Still got those beautiful shimmering discs though which I collected the seed from again. This one pictured is in its second year and huge compared to the first bloomers! I couldn’t even figure out what it was until it started blooming. Excited to see how majestically the pods form on this beaut!

I ordered these seeds years ago! Being that I live in Florida, they're not zoned for this type of flower.but I did an experiment with the seeds,I kept feeding it ice cubes! They loved it and I was able to grow them! Beautifully!!!I've tried other seeds, they're not doing anything.!
