Each 1.4-lb brick absorbs nearly a gallon of water and expands to over 2.5 gallons of a loose, fluffy, substrate you can use in your worm bin, garden, or custom soils.
Note: 24-packs of coco coir may come as 24 singles, 12 x 2-packs, or 4 x packs. You will receive 24 blocks of coco coir, regardless.

This is the second time I’ve purchased coconut coir. I love working with this stuff! It adds tilth to my soil, helps hold moisture, and is great for planting seeds. In the picture, I was preparing an area for a cover crop. I wet the blocks and crumbled them into my bucket. The two products together improved my soil. Thank you ever so much!

I sowed these two seed trays same time w/ same seeds: basil 🌿, tomatoes 🍅, and strawberry 🍓. The tomatoes are the ones springing up clearly in the cococoir. Sadly, not in the tray using organic potting soil. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens as the weeks roll by and more seed germinate.
Rehydrates wonderfully as directed. Make sure to place cococoir in another container or extra bag when rehydrating—some water leaked out small holes in the bottom. :-) easy fix if don’t outside or on tile.

I used this as a soil amendment and it was great! It’s very convenient that you can soak it within its own bag instead of putting it in a container. The coir expanded very well and had a fine consistency. Once expanded I could easily break it up with my fingers. Will definitely buy again.

I originally got these for my worm bag but I have been using them lately for making my own soil mix. Either way I love the size. Other coir products I can find seem to come in 10 lb blocks which is super hard and also they don't rehydrate well. The urban worm coco coir expands super quickly and is very consistent in terms of coir. The easy sized packages are great for the worm bag or making a small batch of soil.

Works great. Like how it is in smaller cubes rather than one huge one.
