Product Details

A reliable bloomer, 'Zulu Prince' will fill the garden with 3"–4" flowers above silver-tinged foliage, attracting bees, birds, and butterflies from midsummer to fall. Also known as Monarch of the Veldt due to its prolific presence on the plains of southern Africa, this hardy, practically care-free beauty will keep on blooming through summer's heat where other flowers falter, as the sturdy plant thrives in poor soil and hot, dry conditions. Flowers open to greet the sun on sunny days and follow it throughout the day.

Great germination rate, beautiful blooms even in my sandy native soil (zone 10b). I already ordered another packet :)

I share my catalogs with friends and family and help them with their gardens. But I also tell them to get online and access your articles and blogs. Also open up the seed packets and get more info.

Grew well in soil blocks that were placed on heat matts. After they were about 3 inch big I planted them outside in raised beds. Grew big and gave some very unique large blooms. Love them! Will grow them again next year.

Started these from seed and planted outdoors. All doing well and all with white flowers like in the photo. But! One just gave me orange blooms. How cool!
