When to Start Inside: 4 to 6 weeks before your average last frost date. Transplant outdoors after last frost. Zinnias do not benefit from being planted early; wait for warmer weather.

Growing Info

Harvesting: For longest vase life, harvest in the morning, choosing blooms where the small, yellow flowers between petals have not yet emerged. Change vase water often.

Special Care: Deadhead (remove spent blossoms) regularly to increase bloom production. Clip stems just above a leaf or stem junction for tidy, healthy plants.

    These germinated well indoors under grow lights and I was able to adjust them slowly to Florida heat before planting out. I’m just getting my first blooms (Florida has a bit of a reverse growing season) and they’re gorgeous!
