Product Details

This Swiss heirloom is the parent to most of the pansies we see today. Early spring blossoms make a wonderful accent to your spring bulbs. Low, bushy plants are quick to grow and bloom, producing showy, large, velvety flowers. Use the edible petals to garnish soft cheese or baked goods. Reliable perennial in USDA zones 6-10, often grown as an annual. A 1933 All-America Selections winner.

    Hey Diana T.,

What a fantastic review! We're absolutely thrilled to hear that your Swiss Giants Blend Pansy Seeds have shown such excellent germination and that your seedlings are doing so well - that's exactly what we love to hear!

Your smart approach of planting two successive rounds is such a great strategy! It's wonderful that most of them made it through both plantings and are thriving. Swiss Giants are such reliable performers when it comes to germination, and it sounds like you've given them exactly what they need to get off to that strong start.

We love that you're seeing such consistent success across both plantings - that really speaks to both the quality of these seeds and your excellent growing skills! Swiss Giants Blend pansies are going to reward your careful attention with those gorgeous, large blooms in such beautiful color combinations. There's something so special about this blend because you get that wonderful mix of classic pansy faces and colors that really brighten up any garden space.

Your experience with the excellent germination rates will be so encouraging for other gardeners who might be planning their own pansy growing adventures! These Swiss Giants are such showstoppers once they get established, and it sounds like you're well on your way to having an absolutely beautiful display.

Thank you so much for sharing such a positive review about your growing success!

They were germinated indoors in late February and transplanted into the garden in April. I used regular potting mix to germinate them and found the germination rate was almost 100%. They started blooming around 60 days after transplanted. Very happy with the outcome. However, I have learned that pansies do not provide nectars for beneficial insects. I will go back to grow viola next year.

I had a great purchasing and shipping experience with Epic Gardening! I accidently entered an old address in the system and they were super quick and polite with helping me get that issue fixed. Additionally, these are the first pansy seeds I have ever gotten to sprout! This purchase of pansy seeds was my very last attempt at starting them and it worked. So happy!
