    Not good results

Don't know what happened. I had 2 nice compact plants, got some flowers but only 1 zucchini. Maybe it was the weather or me,. just don't know.

    Hey Lauren,

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Cocozelle Summer Squash! It sounds like you did a great job getting those plants established and flowering - that's actually a really positive sign that they were healthy and growing well.

Low fruit production despite good flowering is pretty common with summer squash and can happen for a few reasons. Weather definitely plays a big role - extreme heat, humidity, or inconsistent watering can stress the plants and affect fruit set. Sometimes it's also a pollination issue, especially early in the season when there might not be as many pollinators around yet.

The good news is that with compact, flowering plants, you had all the right building blocks! Summer squash can be a bit unpredictable sometimes, but it sounds like you were on the right track. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback - every growing experience helps us all learn something new.

    Keep on growing 🌻️
