    Beautiful colors and flowers

I started them from seeds in a planter, and almost all of the seeds germinated. They grow so fast, moved them to individual containers within 4 weeks. From seeds to flowering took 8 weeks (June-August) in the new endland weather. Cant wait to add to flower beds next year.

    Hey Dana,

Thank you so much for sharing your fantastic experience with our Pampas Plume Tall Blend Celosia Seeds! We absolutely love hearing about that excellent germination rate - it's so exciting when almost all the seeds take off like that! And wow, from seeds to flowering in just 8 weeks even in New England weather - that's incredible timing and shows they were really thriving under your care. Celosia are such fast growers once they get going, and it sounds like you handled that transition to individual containers perfectly. Those beautiful plume-like flowers are going to be absolutely stunning additions to your flower beds next year - you're going to love how they fill out the space with those gorgeous colors! Keep on growing 🌻️

    Beginner Friendly!

I have never grown anything from seed but I followed the directions for outdoor direct sowing. I've really enjoyed watching them take off and they've performed better than I ever expected. I did have some issues with slugs and cutworms in the beginning but some BT spray and eggshells took care of that easily. I do have to water these most days due to the intense heat of NC. The pollinators absolutely love them with the bees sleeping on them most evenings.

Flowers bloomed out of nowhere! It has been wonderful watching these grow especially during these heatwaves all summer.

First time growing celosia. All I can say is wow! Mine have grown like crazy. I can’t wait to see how big they will get by the end of the season. Will definitely grow again. Excited to try other varieties as well.

I am a Texas Certified Master Gardener, researcher, writer, and all-around gardenerd. Disappointing results on this variety. Plants were relatively compact, which I liked, but the term "tall" is misleading. Flower morphology was variable, ranging from columnar to looking like a fireworks explosion, and some cristata flower formations. White to yellow flowering plants were generally of weak growth and died first when summer heated up. Many plants didn't produce enough leafy growth to handle flowering and general health. Some of the wine-colored flowers had the right mix of leaf and flower production, but that was the exception. I was going to save seed but threw them out as not worth the effort to carry this genetics forward.
