Product Details

The varieties in this custom mix will all be the perfect 1"–2" size at the same time, with an appealing flavor and texture combination as well as a beautiful color presentation. Nutritious microgreens can be grown at any time of the year, and are a nutrient-packed way to get your "green fix" in the dead of winter. Move containers as needed for best light exposure and temperature (65°–75°F). Jazzy Mix microgreens are ready to harvest in about 12 to 14 days after sowing, when they have cotyledons (first leaves), or when the first true leaves (second set of leaves) have begun to form, depending on preference.

Mix includes: 30% Sawtooth mustard, 30% Peppergrass cress, 15% Red Acre cabbage, 15% Red Giant mustard, and 10% China Rose radish

Sowing Info

When to Sow Outside: Not recommended. Microgreens are fragile, and outside soil makes them difficult to clean.

When to Start Inside: RECOMMENDED. Sow indoors any time of year. For a continual crop, sow every 7 to 14 days.

Days to Emerge: 5–7 days

Seed Depth: ⅛"–¼"

Seed Spacing: ¼"–½"

Growing Info

Harvesting: When seedlings emerge, the first pair of leaves to show are the cotyledons, which can look very different from the leaves that follow, called "true" leaves. Microgreens are ready to harvest when they have cotyledons, or when the first true leaves have begun to form, depending on preference. Cool growing temperatures may slow the expected amount of days to maturity. Using scissors, cut microgreens just above the soil line when you are ready to use them.

I have been growing these for my wife and 2 year old son for about 6 months now. It was our introduction into growing micro greens. I now put them in everything. With COVID we made a change in our diets and have found these to be a great way to get our veggies slid into a variety of meals. We do like vegetables but we are certainly not the earthy type eaters. I can throw a handful of these in my sons eggs in the morning and a nice big handful in an afternoon sandwich. We now get creative and slice up tri tip and cucumbers in a large bowl of jazzy micro greens for a dinner salad. I grow them in our new greenhouse but could easily grow them in a window inside. From seed to eating in about 5 days. We eat around 3 10x20 trays a week. I use about 1/2 of a pack per tray. I've tried quite a few others and have found these to work the best for us so far. We're now about 30 in. The only problem is that I'm almost out and I can't seem to find them anywhere. When they're back in stock buy some and try them out.

Planted and replanted 3 times this year. Each planting provided for salad dressing. Each one enjoyed by both of us.

The Jazzy mix.has been great for me! Successful germination and tasty little greens. Just trying out a few sprouts alone, I taste the jazziness. On top of avocy toast, pasta, pot pie, soup, or mixed into salad, I don't really notice that much. None the less, they add a brightness and freshness to any dish while packing a punch with the nutrients! I would order these in bulk!

There is a smell to these seeds that is really unpleasant. I've been growing them indoors and they stink up my whole grow space. The first few times I thought it was rotting seeds, but the smell is in the seed packet too. I haven't been able to bring myself to eat them, as the germination has also been poor. Yuck.
