Deliciously mild beet that doesn't stain like reds! 'Golden Boy' is a stunning, golden-orange fleshed beet with bright green leaves, uniform globes, and refined taproots. Strong, upright stems make for an attractive bunch. Sweetest and most tender when young. Greens are also tender and delicious.

Growing Info
Harvesting: For early spring sowings, harvest beets before summer heat. For late summer sowings, harvest before first heavy freeze. For winter sowings in mild climates, harvest in early spring. Harvest when roots are anywhere from 1"–3" in diameter. The smaller they are, the more tender. Greens are most tender when small, so start harvesting when they are 2" tall. You can take as much as one third of a beet plant's outer leaves without harming the root crop.

I ordered a packet of these seeds last winter and planted them in late summer to harvest this fall. I picked them this morning and they are completely white. I suspect the packet i bought had turnip seeds inside. It’s no problem as I like turnips too.

We got a great harvest from these golden beets in the community garden this year. They were delicious and easy to grow with beautiful foliage too!

These were sweet and mild. They didn’t have a strong earthy flavor. We didn’t get a big harvest, but what we got were delicious.
