Product Details

Gorgeous 4"–6" sunset-hued flowers with dark centers bloom in abundance over a long bloom period to keep your garden alight with color and pollinators, and your flower vases full for many weeks. Several rich tones all on one plant! Sunflowers are edible, with a bittersweet flavor. The petals add a pretty pop of color ion salads and desserts. The young, sunflower buds are edible, with a flavor similar to artichoke hearts. They can be grilled, marinated, or sauteed for an unusual appetizer or side dish. Multi-branching habit makes for an excellent annual screen. Sunflowers are one of the easiest flowering plants to grow and drought tolerant.

I planted these in late April, every seed germinated. We an amazing variety of beautiful colors, and the bees went crazy for them all summer.

This was my first time growing sunflowers. I tried Lemon Queen and Evening Sun. 100% germination. The blooms are gorgeous and full of bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and finches. I will definitely grow these again next season.

Evening sun is a beauty! I got great germination last year and tall, healthy, vibrant flowers. I just started a few seedlings from the 2023 packet today. I live in Zone 8b, southwestern Washington.
