How to use

There’s no magic way to hold the CobraHead Original Weeder & Cultivator, but the most comfortable position is where the steel and plastic handle come together. This allows for more precision when attacking small or large weeds. Hold it like a hammer to beat up hard clay and soil clods. Use two hands on the handle to rip out large weeds. Or turn it on its side to use it as a scalping tool to scrape out weeds and move soil.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always weeded with a straight hand weeder, and this CobraHead was my first try at a different shape and style. The CobraHead has been a gamechanger for weeding for me.

    1. The curved shape makes it much more effective at breaking up weeds that have set up camp in tougher clay soil (I'm in San Diego zone 10b)

    2. The curved shape allows me to weed more easily in my rock gardens, because it's easier to move rocks out of the way to get to the weed

    3. Even for weeds that are in normal looser soil, I've found that the curved shape works great when I put the tool into the soil _behind_ the weed, and then scoop the weed up and towards me to pick up the loose weed with all its roots. This scooping motion is a LOT less work than the forking motion I used to have to do with my straight hand weeder, AND it gives me extended range when I want to get a weed that's just out of my reach.

    10/10. Wish I'd switched sooner!
