Product Details

'Vanilla Ice' brings a creamy, light yellow color to the garden and your tabletop arrangement. Sweet 3"–5" flowers bloom on multi-branched, 5' tall plants that are lovely in a moonlit garden. Sunflowers are practically care-free, very easy to grow, and provide months of color. Sunflowers are edible, with a bittersweet flavor. The petals add a pretty pop of color ion salads and desserts. The young, sunflower buds are edible, with a flavor similar to artichoke hearts. They can be grilled, marinated, or sauteed for an unusual appetizer or side dish. Drought tolerant once established, and pollinators love them!

    Hey Rhonda W.,

We're so happy that your Vanilla Ice Sunflowers turned out so beautifully! We love seeing your beautiful photo! Thank you so much for sharing it!

We love that soft, creamy pale yellow color that's completely different from the typical bright golden sunflowers most people are used to. It's such a refreshing and stunning twist on the classic sunflower look!

Your experience with these gorgeous blooms will be so encouraging for other gardeners who might be looking for something a little different from the traditional sunflower varieties! Vanilla Ice really delivers on both uniqueness and beauty, and it sounds like yours are performing exactly as they should.

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful review about these special sunflowers!

    Keep on growing 🌻️

    Love these. Sprouted right away.

I am not sure why there are so many different shades but I am pretty sure these all were the Vanilla Ice seeds after I looked through my empty flower packets.

    Hey Laurie,

Vanilla Ice sunflowers naturally show a range of soft, pale colors rather than one uniform shade. The blooms can vary from creamy white to buttery yellow, sometimes with subtle differences even on the same plant. This variation is completely normal for the variety—it’s part of what makes them so unique and charming in the garden. Environmental factors, like sunlight, soil conditions, and temperature, can also influence how deep or light the yellow appears. So your seeds are right on track—they’re just showing the natural diversity of the Vanilla Ice sunflower! We hope you are enjoying them. Keep on growing 🌻️

Very cute little sunflowers! Love the creamy yellow color and smaller blooms. This is my second year direct sowing these seeds with great success in zone 8b.

Loved growing this sunflower variety in my garden. Heavy blooms and keeps producing sunflowers every time I cut flowers. Will definitely buy this again for growing more in my garden next year.
