Zohar Sunflower Seeds

I try to grow sunflowers every year. But this year was rough. After several tries I was finally successful with my late summer planting of a variety of sunflower seeds. I followed Kevin and Jacques advice and I didn’t plant the very big guys, but I planted the Zohar and Lemon Queens. I did plant some Heirloom and Torch Mexican Sunflowers, but I don’t think they made it.

So I did end up having a bit of sunshine bloom in the garden. I hope I have a more successful crop next summer!

First time purchasing this variety of sunflower. I specifically loved the bloom and that it was pollenless for my bouquets.

Unfortunately they aren’t pollenless, there was pollen all over my white tablecloth.

Has anyone had this issue or is this just a fluke?

Going to plant a few more to see if they are indeed pollenless.

Absolutely beautiful! I think there must be some sort of mutation or I somehow got the wrong variant but these have multiple heads but seem to be the right sunflower from my research. Absolutely love them but since I don’t know if they are the same variety I’ll definitely be saving seeds ! I have to try again next year but so happy with how they turned out.
