Product Details

With vivid color, 'Black Magic' makes great dried or cut flowers, while edible petals make a stunning garnish to salads, crudités platters, or dinner plates. Bachelor's button, also called cornflower, will "naturalize"; it self-sows for another crop of flowers the following season, and birds love the seed heads!

Winter sown on 02/09 and bursting thru the hole in the bottle on 03/22. The bottle is half black magic and half another variety. Very pleased so far. First time growing these and first time winter sowing.

Excellent germination and deep, rich color! I am growing a flat of these from last year’s seed packet and got 100% germination. Excited to grow these again. Unusual and stunning! Zone 8b, Washington state.

I live in Zone 4b on Lake Superior in Northern MN. I started some seeds inside and direct-sowed some outside - the inside starts all died but the direct-sowed flowers are all thriving.
