How to use?

Secure the trellis in your garden as a central accent or along pathways. Then plant your vine on either or both sides and allow it to weave through the arbor, creating organic foliage-covered sculpture.

FAQ

  1. Does my TerraTrellis need regular cleaning?
Regular cleaning of stainless and powder coated steel sculpture should be done on a monthly basis to remove any environmental deposits that may lead to damage over time. For increased protection in coastal environments, cleaning should occur more frequently as seacoast climates may influence oxidation on metals. To clean, use only fresh water or a mild soapy water solution or stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning products.

The beauty of unfinished weathered steel is its ever-changing burnished patina. The natural process will continue to oxidize the metal, developing its own unique finish depending on the environment. During this transition some color transfer may occur. We do not recommend placing our weathered steel sculpture on porous or light colored surfaces. Sculptures exposed to salt air may experience accelerated oxidation.

  2. Should I take steps outside installation to stabilize my TerraTrellis?
While all of our trellises are stable and well-balanced on any flat, level surface, we recommend that those with a base be secured to hardscape for added security. We drill holes on the bases for this purpose. Terra Sculpture is not liable for any injuries or accidents which may occur.

  3. Is the trellis safe for growing food?
Yes! Especially with regular cleaning, TerraTrellis supports are completely safe for growing vegetables and fruit.
