Urban Worm Coco Coir - 5KG

Love this coconut coir for seed starting. It's so satisfying how light and soft it is. It holds water amazingly. I am trying to use it as a seed starter on top of compost so that I don't need to transplant.

I did a lot of research to find the best quality coir for my raised bed and container recipe. This coir is amazing. You can tell as soon as you peel away the plastic that is is good quality - the color, texture etc. It soaked up the water and broke apart very easily and became beautiful fluffy reconstituted coir to use as the base for my mix. I mixed in lots of organic compost, perlite, Kelp meal, azomite, worm castings, granular fertilizer and probably something else that I can't remember. My plants love it. I'll definitely buy this next year.

We used three packages of coco coir to fill two Birdie beds (also ordered from Epic Gardening) with home-made planting soil, now there is just a little bit left for making more soil for the next planting season. We'll order more from Epic Gardening in time for autumn/winter planting.
